California Coast Credit Union announced a new five-year agreement with the City of San Diego designating Cal Coast as the city’s official financial services provider.

President and CEO Todd Lane said the renewal follows about a decade of work with the city. According to Cal Coast, city employees, retirees, volunteers, and their families will have access to products and services, including new-employee orientations, on-site and virtual outreach, free one-on-one counseling through the Financial Fitness Program, Lunch & Learn workshops, youth education, loans designed for public safety recruits, early paycheck access, waived membership fees, referral incentives, and special loan and savings offers.

The credit union said it will make a significant annual investment supporting workforce development, youth programs, public safety outreach, nonprofit capacity building, and small business initiatives. Funded programs named in the announcement include Parks and Recreation volunteer work, Fire-Rescue community outreach, economic development grants in low- to moderate-income communities, a youth-led career expo, the University of San Diego Nonprofit Academy, and a Small Business Navigator Program.

Cal Coast said it has more than $3.6 billion in assets, more than 200,000 members, and 26 branches.
